Singing in a group versus solo?

I want to start a singing career and I'm not sure if its better to go solo or to be in a group. I used to think most groups end up breaking up and...yeah...but watching some kpop groups(yes i love kpop), they seemed pretty tight and now i'm not sure. Also, I really don't need to hear about how you can't make it in the world of music. I know there is a small chance, but i'm pretty headstrong and i know I can go far, so now lectures :) thankyou.
