Should we take our boat out again on the water on 4th of july to watch the fireworks?

we have a huge pontoon we take out on the water to watch the firewoks over us, but coming back in at night with very little light is a pain in the and the kids are really grumpy by then, should we take it out or just sit on the shoreline
