Ps3 extremely long load times?

I got my ps3 like 2 weeks ago and I was Ive been noticing that my load times are getting longer on all my games. I was playing uncharted 2 amoung thieves and it took like 5 min to get to the main screen. And today and I was playing battlefield bad company and it was loading and playing fine and after about an hour I waited for like 10 min and it wouldn't load the levels. idk if there is something wrong or if my ps3 was getting over heated(its in a well ventilated area).
