Iv read in a few books that one of the conditions of US independence was recompense to king george III?

Basically that the 13 colonies had to repay what was invested into their land by King George and his predecessors, and that it was payed for about 70 years.If so how much? And did our victory in 1812-15 (whereby we stopped the US invading canada,even occupying Washington so that they had to move their capital to Philidelphia) effect these payments?
