Does your firstborn child stay in the hospital with you when you have your secondborn child?

I know when you are in labor, your firstborn child is most likely not in the room with you. But what about once the baby is born? Does your firstborn spend the entire rest of the time with you and your husband in the hospital room with the baby, or do they maybe only spend days, and are babysat at night? What happened with your personal experiences? Thank you!
